What are the main categories of job in media companies?

The three categories of media Jobs: Pre-Production
                                                          Production
                                                          Post-Production

Pre-Production: the planning and drafting stages of a media product e.g. scheduling, funding, casting, designing, storyboarding, screenwriting etc.

Production: the actual making of a media product e.g. filming, photographing, writing, inking graphics, recording sound etc.

Post-Production: the editing and finalising of a media product e.g. adding special effects, digital manipulation, audio and video editing.

Traditional media

1. Advertising began on 22nd September 1955. This was the date that advertising first appeared on television. 2.  Cable TV  in the  UK first appeared  as far back as 1938 and on  29 April 1990 the launch of British  Satellite  Broadcasting ( satellite television  broadcaster) 3.  Narrowcast  is to send data to a specific list of recipients. Cable television is an example of  narrowcasting  since the cable  TV  signals are sent only to homes that have subscribed to the cable service.
